BACKGROUND

Oceanpets was established in 2001 in Queensland Australia, and specialises in the production of clownfish. We supply our tank raised clownfish to pet stores, ornamental fish wholesalers and the general public, and are starting to export to countries including the USA, UK, Europe, Japan and Singapore. Our services also include Marine Aquarium construction and installation.

We pride ourselves in assisting the protection of clownfish existing in their natural habitat. Oceanpets produce healthy captive-bred, tank reared clownfish. By doing so Peter and Amy are helping to reduce the number of wild-caught clownfish bought for home aquariums.

As a customer you to can help protect one of the most popular reef fish species found on the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland. Due to their beautiful colour patterns and intriguing swimming behaviour, clownfish are highly sought after for the aquarium fish trade throughout the world.

Unfortunately, like many other species of reef fish, thousands of clownfish are removed from Reefs around the world each year to support the aquarium trade.

Our clown fish are raised from eggs and are accustomed to tank life, humans and feeding on artificial food. This makes them not only a wonderful cheap pet, but also easy to maintain.
